The history of Rheostatik series (Part one : The begining of new Jabodetabek Commuter train)

Ohayou Gozaimas ! Welcome to June 2013, in this today the writer will be talk about the history of Rheostatik series. In this today there 4 part of this history Rheostatik series, the list included :

PART ONE : The begining of new Jabodetabek Commuter train
In 1976, the electric locomotive in Jabode commuter operation (Present Jabodetabek) will be phasing out with buy new Electric Multiple Units from Japan with 20 option from The Indonesian
Railway Bureau Corporation. The Electric locomotive in Indonesia builded by AEG, Brown Boveri & Co te Baden, and Werkspoor-Westinghouse-Hemaaf and today only sole survivor electric locomotive in Indonesia, ESS 3201 (nickname : Bon - bon / Djoko top). The new EMU'S was called Rheostatik according his traction motor output using Rheostat system.

After success story of first generation, the Indonesian Railway Bureau Corporation buy 20 more of this series but was different from first generation, and the second generation followed by third and fourth generation with same model in second generation (have 3 doors)
This is the Rheostatik series second to fourth generation, the train was different from first generation. The 1978, 1983, 1984 batch use 3 doors and the original scheme of scarlet (side of the train) and scarlet & yellow color (in face of train only) (Source : Mr.Satrio Wibowo)
Later, the Indonesian Railway Bureau Corporation put 20 option of the fifth and sixth generation but different from 1 - 4 generation. The fifth and sixth generation using stainless steel body and have 3 doors.
The fifth and last generation of Rheostatik series are different from 1 - 4 generation, the 1986 and 1987 batch use stainless steel body and have 3 doors. On this photograph is using his original scheme (white and red, full red in face of the train)  (Source : Nippon Sharyo)
